Senior Estimating Engineer - Coventry - Aerospace

We are working in partnership with well-established and highly regarded precision engineering business, supporting some of the world’s leading aerospace and aero-engine manufacturers. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, we are now looking to recruit an experienced Senior Estimating Engineer to strengthen thier commercial and technical capability.

This is a key role within the business, offering real influence over bid strategy, customer engagement and long-term project success.

The Role

As the Senior Estimating Engineer, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex aerospace components, with a strong focus on aero-engine parts and assemblies. Working closely with Engineering, Production and Sales, you will play a vital role in securing new work and supporting profitable growth.

Key responsibilities include:

* Preparing detailed costings and quotations for aerospace and aero-engine components

* Interpreting technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements

* Analysing manufacturing processes including CNC machining, special processes and subcontract operations

* Liaising with customers and internal teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements

* Supporting continuous improvement of estimating methods and cost models

You will ideally have:

* Strong estimating experience within precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing

* Direct experience of aero-engine components (essential)

* Sound knowledge of machining processes, materials and aerospace standards

* Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and route cards

* A commercial mindset with strong attention to detail

* Confident communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
