Job Description & How to Apply Below
My Warwickshire based client is currently recruiting a commercially minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a multi-site, service-based organisation.
This role offers broad accountability, strong exposure to senior executives, and the chance to influence business direction through insight and leadership.
You'll shape financial strategy, drive performance, improve processes and systems, and develop a high-performing finance team. If you're motivated by impact, change, and continuous improvement, this is an environment where you can truly make a difference.
The Role
As Financial Controller, you will:
Lead all core financial operations and reporting activities.
Own month-end close and oversee timely financial delivery.
Provide analytical insights, identifying trends, risk areas and improvement opportunities.
Guide budgeting, forecasting and performance planning.
Lead, coach and develop the finance team, fostering strong performance and engagement.
Oversee statutory compliance, controls, audit and financial governance.
Drive efficiencies across financial systems, processes and reporting frameworks.
Lead improvements in working capital, credit management and cash generation.
Support business change, M&A integration, and implementation of finance policies and systems.
Partner with treasury, tax and other corporate functions to ensure best-practice compliance.
What You'll Bring
Degree in Finance or Accounting with a recognised professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
Proven background in fast-paced, complex organisations.
Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret and simplify complex information.
Track record of delivering deadlines, changing processes and improving controls.
Experience leading and developing teams at pace.
ERP systems expertise (experience implementing or optimising systems advantageous).
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems.
Why Join Us?
A broad leadership remit with genuine influence across the organisation.
Opportunity to transform processes and systems, not just maintain them.
Work within a dynamic service-focused organisation that values continuous improvement.
Autonomy to shape the direction of the finance function.
Ready to Apply?
If you're a forward-thinking financial leader who enjoys partnering with the business, challenges the status quo, and thrives on improvement, we'd love to hear from you
