Accounts Assistant

Position: Accounts Assistant (Permanent)
Location: Warwickshire

This role sits within a commercial operations team supporting the financial and commercial management of live projects. It's well suited to someone with a foundation in finance, commercial analysis, or project support who wants broader exposure across budgeting, reporting, and operational processes in a structured, project-led environment.

You'll work closely with project and finance stakeholders, contributing to accurate reporting, cost control, and month-end activity, while continuing to build your commercial skillset.

What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the preparation, maintenance, and review of project budgets and forecasts
Tracking project costs, commitments, and variances against approved budgets
Assisting with month-end project financial close, including reconciliations and revenue-related activities
Producing regular project performance reports, KPIs, and financial summaries
Ensuring accurate cost coding and financial data entry within project systems
Working with project managers, finance, and procurement teams to resolve cost or timing issues
Supporting wider commercial and finance processes such as invoicing, purchase orders, and internal controls

What You'll Bring
At least 12 months' experience in a finance, commercial, or project support role
Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
A methodical, detail-focused approach with good numerical ability
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
Experience using ERP or finance systems is beneficial but not essential
