Role:
Service Now Platform Administrator / Developer

Duration: 3 months

SC Cleared/SC eligible candidates only.

2-3 days a week to Warwick.

Mandatory skills:
Service Now SaaS.

Role Description

A Service Now Platform Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and optimising the Service Now platform to ensure smooth operations and alignment with organisational needs.

This role involves technical expertise, process improvement, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Preferred Requirements
  • Service Now System Administrator Certification
  • Service Now Implementation Specialist Certification
  • Experience working with Service Now domains
  • SC cleared or eligibility to get it.
  • Certifications such as Service Now System Administrator and ITIL Foundation are highly desirable.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Monitor platform health and performance; apply patches and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, escalating to Service Now support when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational standards and security policies.
  • Configure Service Now modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog).
  • Develop workflows, forms, and scripts to automate processes.
  • Manage notifications, UI pages, and dashboards.
  • Create and manage user roles, groups, and ACLs.
  • Maintain CMDB health and data integrity.
  • Analyse current processes and propose automation opportunities.
  • Support agile development and iterative enhancements.
  • Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of Service Now Core and Platform modules.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM project management methodologies.
  • Experience with workflow design, integrations, and performance tuning.
  • At least 4 to 5 years of hands‑on Service Now administration and development experience.
  • Exposure to incident/problem/change management and service catalog development.
  • Background in troubleshooting and optimising workflows and scripts.
  • Gather requirements, design, develop, and maintain application integration with any third‑party applications.
  • Provides external client‑facing consulting services within a technology‑focused practice.
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom code for all Service Now modules.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of core ITIL processes (CMDB, Incident, Problem, and Change).
  • Hands‑on experience on modules like ITSM, ITOM, TPRM, Service Portal and Scoped applications.
  • Strong process management & project management skills.
