The Homeless Prevention Advisor works with care experienced young people aged 16–25 to reduce homelessness and facilitate planned housing arrangements. The role involves working closely with local district and borough housing departments, accommodation providers, social workers, and personal advisers from multiple teams to secure appropriate housing solutions.
Responsibilities- Support colleagues and young people to have planned home moves.
- Provide advice and guidance on housing issues.
- Liaise with housing authorities to prevent homelessness and find suitable housing options.
- Identify creative solutions for suitable accommodation when traditional routes are not available.
- Travel to work with young people who live outside Warwickshire.
- Supportive managers with robust supervision focused on wellbeing and workload.
- Volunteering & Wellbeing Day in addition to generous annual leave and an extra day at Christmas.
- Refer a Friend package (terms and conditions apply).
Successful applicants will undergo pre‑engagement checks including a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Fluency in spoken English is required. The role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Fluency Duty as set out in the Code of Practice on English language requirements for public sector workers.
