What will the Accountant role involve?
Preparing, submitting, and reviewing accounts and tax returns for a diverse portfolio including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies
Providing mentorship and technical guidance within your team to foster continuous learning and excellence
Engaging directly with clients to deliver outstanding service, including onboarding new clients and maintaining communication across various platforms
Advising clients on tax planning and efficiency and assisting with financial advisory functions such as cash flow and budgeting
Managing bookkeeping, VAT returns, year-end client meetings, and fee reviews to support business growth
Liaising confidently with HMRC and Companies House to resolve queries and ensure compliance
Representing the firm s values by delivering clear, insightful advice and maintaining high professional standards
Suitable Candidate for the Accountant vacancy:
Fully qualified member of a recognised professional body (AAT, ATT, ACCA or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years experience in practice
Proven ability to prepare accounts and tax returns across multiple client types within a busy, client-facing environment
Practical experience using accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, DEXT, or Free Agent
Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance, combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proactive and curious mindset with a passion for learning, problem-solving and providing exceptional client service
Effective time management skills with the ability to handle competing deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
Friendly, approachable, and professional, committed to fostering meaningful client relationships and working collaboratively
