Accounts Apprentice

Our client, a global software solutions company, are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant Apprentice join their UK office in Watford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in accounting and finance while gaining a nationally recognised qualification (AAT Level
2).

Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to progression to AAT Level 3 and beyond!

What’s in it for you?

· Salary: £14,700 (statutory £7.55 per hour)

Hours:

9am-5pm with ½ an hour for lunch

Training Provided:

· AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting

· On-the-job training and mentoring from experienced finance professionals.

· Opportunities for progression to higher-level AAT qualifications

Key responsibilities:

Assist with day-to-day financial operations, including:

· Processing invoices

· Reconciling bank statements

· Maintaining accurate financial records

· Support the preparation of monthly reports and spreadsheets.

· Handle queries from suppliers and internal teams.

· Learn and apply accounting principles under supervision.

· Use accounting software and Microsoft Office tools effectively.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

· Provide support to other areas of the business such as Sales and Marketing

· Assisting with data entry

What the employer is looking for:

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy

· Good numeracy and IT skills (Excel, Word)

· Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

· Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.

· Minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) including Maths and English
