Accounts Apprenticeship

Our client, a global software solutions company, are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant Apprentice join their UK office in Watford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in accounting and finance while gaining a nationally recognised qualification (AAT Level
2).

Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to progression to AAT Level 3 and beyond!

• Salary : £14,700 (statutory £7.55 per hour)
• Hours : 9am-5pm with ½ an hour for lunch

• AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting
• On-the-job training and mentoring from experienced finance professionals.
• Opportunities for progression to higher-level AAT qualifications

• Processing invoices
• Reconciling bank statements
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Support the preparation of monthly reports and spreadsheets.
• Handle queries from suppliers and internal teams.
• Learn and apply accounting principles under supervision.
• Use accounting software and Microsoft Office tools effectively.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Provide support to other areas of the business such as Sales and Marketing
• Assisting with data entry

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good numeracy and IT skills (Excel, Word)
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
• Minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade 4 / C or above) including Maths and English
