Cleaning Team Leader
Location:
Watford
Salary: £30-32k pa
Contract:
Permanent, 40 hours per week, 2pm to 10pm
Start date:

Full UK Driving Licence required.

Key Responsibilities- Receive and action handovers from the morning team and facilitate a smooth handover to the evening team.
- Ensure the afternoon team is performing their roles to expected standards.
- Delegate jobs fairly between team members based on skills and workloads.
- Provide clear communication and support to team members throughout the shift.
- Track and assess team performance, providing feedback and recognising achievements.
- Carry out weekly payroll duties.
- Carry out cleaning duties if required as part of the team on‑site.
- Conduct spot checks and site visits to maintain service quality.
- Sign off completed jobs with clients.
- Visit job sites to gather information for quoting purposes.
- Drive across sites to ensure all teams are meeting expectations.
- Liaise between the Account Manager and staff to relay updates or instructions.
- Communicate with clients professionally and clearly.
- Handle complaints quickly and effectively, ensuring follow‑up actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
- Assist with recruitment by participating in face‑to‑face interviews.
- Help onboard and train new starters.
- Support in disciplinary investigations, including note‑taking and evidence gathering.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety procedures and site requirements.
- Report and address any concerns or non‑conformities promptly.
- Conduct toolbox talks with the team.
