Setting Out Engineer Civil Engineering Contractor (Kent-Based)

We’re working in partnership with a well-established civil engineering contractor operating across Kent and the South East. With a turnover exceeding £60M and a strong pipeline of infrastructure, groundworks, and reinforced concrete packages, they’re seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join their delivery team on a major project.

• Accurate setting out for RC slabs, drainage runs, foundations, and structural elements
• Use of Optical EDM and total station equipment for precise measurements and layout
• Liaising with site management and subcontractors to ensure technical compliance
• Maintaining site records, QA documentation, and as-built drawings
• Supporting the site team with technical input and problem-solving

• Proven experience in setting out for civils and RC works
• Proficiency with Optical EDM and total station instruments
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete detailing and tolerances
• CSCS Card and relevant engineering qualifications
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively on site
