Assistant Manager - Housing and Homelessness (Sanctuary Emergency Accommodation)

Base pay rangeSalary: £30,660 p.a.
Full-time: 40 hours per week with a 30‑minute paid lunch break. Staff will also be rostered for bank holidays.
Closing date: 12pm; 23rd of January 2026. Interview dates: TBC.

Our Emergency Accommodation offers short‑term accommodation (22 bedrooms), with support, meals and laundry facilities. Staff work with other services to provide a tailored package for each person, helping them towards longer‑term accommodation.
Responsibilities- Support the Emergency Accommodation Manager.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the service.
- Support staff with service users and delegate responsibilities.
- Work with other services to provide a tailored package for each person.
- A desire to help people experiencing homelessness.
- Knowledge and understanding of homelessness, through experience, volunteering or lived experience.
- Self‑aware, compassionate, non‑judgemental, with strong emotional intelligence.
- Excellent communication, prioritisation, and administration skills.
- Ability to inspire, motivate and encourage staff.
- Confidence to respond flexibly, professionally to any challenges.
