Relief Support Worker – Watford at Mencap

Location:

Watford, Hertfordshire, England.

Passionate Relief Support Workers are needed to join our dedicated team in the Watford area. You will work with individuals with learning disabilities, supporting their daily needs and providing emotional support.

• Assist with daily activities to support the independence and wellbeing of individuals.
• Provide emotional support and build meaningful relationships.
• Work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Support individuals throughout the 24‑hour care services, including sleep‑ins.

• Genuine passion for supporting others.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Valid driver’s licence (required for this role).
• Suitable references and enhanced DBS check.

Contract:

Relief.

All services are 24‑hour care. Rotas are prepared at least four weeks in advance to enable planning of personal and social life.

• Days: 07:00‑22:00.
• Sleep‑ins: 22:00‑07:00 (enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70).

This position does not meet the minimum salary threshold required for skilled worker visa sponsorship and is not suitable for individuals seeking sponsorship or currently holding a skilled worker visa.
