The Opportunity
We are partnered with a reputable, high-growth Managed Service Provider to hire a dedicated Field IT Engineer based onsite at a local hospice. This is a highly meaningful role where you will support an organisation providing exceptional care to its community, ensuring their technology runs smoothly and securely.
You will act as the face of the MSP within the customer, working closely with staff to resolve issues, improve systems, and maintain a reliable IT environment that enables frontline teams to deliver vital services.
The Role
- Providing hands‑on IT support to staff across hardware, software, and network issues
- Acting as the primary technical point of contact between the hospice and the MSP
- Managing incidents, service requests, and escalations in line with SLAs
- Setting up, building, and maintaining end‑user devices (laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices)
- Supporting Office 365, Windows environments, and clinical/operational software platforms
- Troubleshooting connectivity issues and supporting basic network infrastructure
- Ensuring excellent customer service and maintaining a professional onsite presence
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and system upgrades
You Will Need
- Experience in a 1st/2nd Line Support or Field IT Engineer role
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory, and general troubleshooting
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and communicate clearly with non‑technical users
- A compassionate, patient, and professional mindset when supporting hospice staff and volunteers
- Full UK driving licence (if travel to nearby sites is required) and must be able to drive.
