Configuration Engineer (Laptop builds)

Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Rate: £14.25 per hour (PAYE) lots of OT at 1.5x

3‑Month Rolling

Hours:

8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or other shifts available

We’re looking for a Configuration Engineer to join our growing Configuration Department. In this role, you’ll deliver accurate and efficient IT configuration services, working on a variety of systems and projects. Full training will be provided for bespoke in‑house systems.

• Install and configure software within existing IT infrastructures
• Build and configure systems following detailed scripts
• Perform manual data input (25–50% of the role) using spreadsheets
• Consolidate consignments for distribution
• Box/unbox IT equipment and support pallet movement
• Communicate progress and delays proactively
• Work to meet SLA targets and productivity goals

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Background in IT or technical support
• Data input experience with excellent attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable approach
• Reliable team player with great time management
• Knowledge of IT components and hardware
