Join HCRG Care Group and make a real difference by supporting our IT operations across the organisation. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Service Desk Engineer to join our dynamic IM&T team. This role is crucial in delivering high‑quality IT support to our nationwide teams, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- Provide first‑line IT Service Desk support to the entire organisation via telephone, email, and remote tools.
- Focus on achieving high numbers of remote support fixes.
- Act as the first point of contact for IT queries, representing the IM&T department professionally.
- Support day‑to‑day IT operations, including BAU, project work, and mobilisation activities.
- Update and resolve tickets in line with agreed SLA targets using our CRM system.
- Contribute to and maintain the knowledge base for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with IM&T teams and regional support teams across the UK.
This hybrid role is primarily home‑based, with 1‑2 days a week based at our Runcorn Head Office (plus flexibility for training, projects and business needs).
Qualifications- Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
- A keen interest in technology and strong problem‑solving skills.
- Previous experience in a Service Desk role is advantageous but not essential – full training will be provided.
- Ability to work well within a team and support colleagues when needed.
- Flexible approach to attend the Runcorn office for training, projects or business needs.
- Experience or understanding of clinical environments is desirable.
