working with a well-established RC frame and groundworks subcontractor that delivers projects up to £12 million. They are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects across the Northern Home Counties. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional who can manage contracts end-to-end while supporting business growth in a fast-paced, project-focused environment.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the commercial management of multiple RC frame and groundworks projects. You will work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure financial control, contractual compliance, and successful delivery across the regional portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
* Full commercial management of projects from contract award to final account
* Reviewing and negotiating subcontractor agreements and client contracts
* Monitoring project budgets, cash flow, and cost reporting
* Managing variations, change control, and contractual disputes
* Advising project teams on commercial risks and opportunities
* Maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships
* Supporting business growth through commercial insight and project delivery
* Reporting to senior management on contract and project performance
About You
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within RC frame or groundworks projects
* Experience managing projects up to £12 million
* Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts, procurement, and risk management
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Northern Home Counties
