A UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy is seeking a hands‑on and proactive Asbestos Operations Manager. The company has a growing presence in the South Eastern region and seeks someone who can oversee existing and new contracts and team members. On a daily basis, you will oversee the completion of simultaneous projects while ensuring that company standards and client relationships are maintained. Applicants must have a successful track record of managing teams of site and office staff and must be able to hit the ground running upon joining the company.

- Must have experience working as an Asbestos Operations Manager
- Fully conversant in HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
- Must hold BOHS qualifications, such as: P401, P402, P403, P404 and / or P405 (or RSPH equivalents)
- Strong experience of managing teams of office and site staff
- Successful in managing existing client accounts and growing business revenues
- Excellent communication skills
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Proficient in using IT software
- Oversee the daily running of a busy Asbestos department to ensure contractual agreements are met and deadlines adhered to
- Manage the delivery of site projects, allocating work and monitoring progress
- Be a key point of contact for clients, answering technical and logistical queries and providing support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Complete staff competency checks and audits to ensure compliance and high service levels
- Support UKAS accreditation requirements
- Identify gaps in the business to grow existing client accounts and highlight new leads
- Produce RAMs, site risk assessments and method statements
- Lead training sessions and toolbox talks
- Attend client meetings to establish their requirements
- Oversee asbestos removal projects
- Participate in the recruitment process, interviewing and training new staff
- Produce detailed tenders and quotations
