We are working with a well-established and design-led town planning and architecture practice that is looking to appoint an ambitious Town Planner to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planner who enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will work closely with an in-house design team, contributing to a wide range of projects and helping to shape high-quality, deliverable outcomes.

The Role

The position would suit someone with experience in private practice, although public sector experience would be welcomed. Applicants should be Chartered with the RTPI or actively working towards Chartership, and be confident operating as part of a supportive, team-focused consultancy.

The role also offers scope to play an active part in the wider business. Planners are encouraged to get involved in networking, client engagement, and promoting the practice through professional channels, including Linked In. Contributions to the company’s strategic growth and future direction are positively encouraged.

Career Progression

There is clear potential for career advancement, including the opportunity for share ownership. The role will be primarily based in the Wells office, with flexibility for candidates wishing to work up to two days per week from the Exeter office.
