Dispenser

Caereinion Medical Practice are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Dispenser to join our friendly pharmacy team on a full time basis.

You must have an NVQ2 in Dispensing/Pharmacy Services (or equivalent), excellent communication and people skills, good IT skills and with a healthcare background.

To be responsible for dispending and checking all medicines dispensed, safely and accurately and in line with dispensary procedures

Maintaining stock levels within the dispensary and ordering from suppliers as needed

Receiving and storing supplies in accordance with current policy.

Ensuring controlled drugs are dispensed with in accordance with practice policy

Safe disposal of returned and / or out of date medicines

Ensuring all repeat prescriptions are processed in a timely manner and in accordance with SOP.

Process prescription requests via email, phone, fax, face-to-face and online

Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times

Maintain accurate records at all times, read coding entries appropriately

Caereinion Medical Practice is a rural dispensing practice with a demographic ageing population. We strive to ensure a friendly service for all patients.

To be responsible for the processing of prescriptions in accordance with practice policy and extant legislation. In addition, the post-holder will be required to ensure a high-level of patient service is delivered at all times in order to offer an effective and efficient medication service.

You will be working with a very supportive and friendly pharmacy team consisting of a Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technicians & dispensing team.

• Qualified Dispenser (NVQ Level
  2)
• GCSE (or equivalent) English & Maths at Grade C or above
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Strong IT skills
