We recognise a big part of our success is due to our talented people, and we are seeking a skilled & highly motivated Warehouse Team Leader to form part of our WA Branch leadership team.
Working closely with the State Manager, the role involves coordination of the dispatch & delivery of orders by leading the team to ensure both inbound & outbound consignments are efficiently processed through, & effectively stored in, our WA warehouse.
What is the Role?Based in Welshpool, near Perth Western Australia, and reporting directly to the State Manager, you will drive customer satisfaction by managing the daily workflow to ensure efficient warehouse operations, utilisation of space, accurate inventory management & logistics in a safe and reliable manner. This role will be responsible for our WA warehouse, including:
- Leading by example in the drive to achieve operational goals & quality standards.
- Providing mentoring, direction, & day‑to‑day supervision of the warehouse team.
- Coordinating workflows to optimise shipping container movements, stock rotation, storage, pick efficiency, as well as accurate fulfilment & timely delivery of customer orders.
- Ensuring effective & safe compliance with work procedures, quality processes, & service standards.
- Managing & coordinating site vehicle movements, booking & loading external freight providers.
- Ensuring the maintenance of a healthy & safe working environment.
We require an experienced candidate, with a sound warehouse & logistics background. You will have a robust WH&S focus accompanying people management skills to drive ongoing team success. Along with strong communication & organisational skills, you will also possess:
- A valid forklift & driver’s license, accompanied by a good driving record.
- Experience in managing a team & workflow optimisation.
- Ability to plan ahead & develop efficient work processes.
- Physical fitness & a strong work ethic.
- Proven ability to delegate & effectively manage competing operational priorities.
- A proven track record of continuous improvement & implementing innovative workplace practices.
- Experience with in the tyre industry is desirable, but not essential.
