Monday – Friday day shift initially on training then 6am-2pm

gap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Senior Laser Programmer /Operator to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden City

• Create 2D & 3D laser cutting programmes using Tru‑Tops 3D software (knowledge of Boost software an advantage)
• Create nesting for laser cutting using Tru‑Tops software
• Operating a Trumph Tru Cell 7040 laser (or equivalent)
• Load programmes / laser set up
• Liaise with planning and production to ensure priorities are met
• Set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance
• Report any maintenance issues to Line Manager
• Ensure all jigs and fixtures are stored correctly and are in calibration
• Plan daily / weekly workload for laser across 3 shifts
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment is maintained
• Provide support for laser operators
• Previous supervisory role an advantage (not essential)

• Build good working relationships always acting as a team player
• Maintain high attention to detail and process adherence applying a right first‑time mentality
• Communicate effectively Apply
