Financial Controller - FMCG

UP TO £75,000 + 10% BONUS + ENHANCED BENEFITS

We are partnering with a rapidly growing FMCG business with a strong portfolio of consumer brands, looking to appoint a Financial Controller to support ongoing UK and international expansion. The role reports directly to the Finance Director and involves leading the day‑to‑day finance function, developing the finance team, strengthening controls, and partnering closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial and Marketing.

• Lead the finance function across multiple business units, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance while managing a team of 5.
• Collaborate with the Finance Director on business strategy, planning and performance discussions.
• Deliver management accounts, KPIs, financial reporting packs and insights to senior leadership.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end processes, reconciliations and statutory submissions.
• Strengthen internal controls, processes and reporting frameworks as the business scales.
• Partner with operational and commercial teams to improve performance and margin visibility.
• Build costing frameworks and support product costing and stock control processes.
• Develop a high‑performing finance team, embedding accountability and career development.
• Champion ERP and system improvements and integrations.
• Act as primary finance lead with auditors and external advisors.

• Experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager in a FMCG, Consumer Goods, Food & Drink or similar product‑led environment.
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
• Strong team‑leadership skills and enjoyment of developing others.
• Excellent stakeholder and cross‑functional communication skills.
• Comfortable being both strategic and hands‑on in a scaling environment.
• Systems mindset with experience leading or supporting ERP improvements (highly advantageous).
