RF Drive Test Engineers

We are looking for skilled RF Drive Test Engineers to support ongoing 4G/5G network testing and optimisation activities in Austin, Texas. This field-based role involves extensive drive testing, analysis of device-to-network communication, and troubleshooting of swap sectors, handovers, and dropped calls. Candidates must be US Citizens or Green Card holders (USC/GC).

• Conduct 4G/5G drive tests using tools like XCAL, TEMS, and NEMO.
• Analyse call flows between mobile devices and the network to identify issues.
• Investigate and troubleshoot handovers, swap sectors, and dropped calls.
• Perform E911 and walk testing for location accuracy and coverage validation.
• Use GPS navigation to access designated test routes and locations.
• Address and resolve customer-reported network complaints through field testing.
• Document test results and escalate network performance issues when needed.

• 7+ years of experience in RF Optimisation, including LTE/5G networks.
• Proven experience with RF drive testing using tools like XCAL, TEMS, or NEMO.
• Strong understanding of IP, TCP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, and wireless protocols.
• Ability to analyse device logs and call flow patterns.
• Experience resolving swap sector issues, handover failures, and E911-related field problems.
• Familiarity with operator standards for wireless network testing and reporting.
• Valid U.S. driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the Austin area.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (USC/GC).
