Geotechnical Engineer

Bennett & Game are pleased to be representing a well-respected geotechnical and environmental consultancy seeking to appoint a Geotechnical Engineer.

This role offers the opportunity to work on technically diverse projects providing geotechnical input to residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments across the UK. The successful candidate will be involved in ground investigations, interpretation of geotechnical data, and the production of design-led recommendations to support safe and efficient development. You will manage multiple projects, contribute to foundation and earthworks design, and collaborate closely with geo-environmental and civil teams.

Job Overview Manage and interpret ground investigation data including logging and laboratory results Produce geotechnical assessments and design recommendations for foundations and earthworks Support slope stability, bearing capacity, and ground improvement assessments Review factual and interpretative ground investigation reports Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and clients to ensure effective project delivery Work collaboratively with geo-environmental and civil engineers on integrated schemes

Job Requirements Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or related discipline Minimum of 2 years' experience within a geotechnical consultancy or investigation role Good understanding of UK geotechnical design standards and ground investigation practice Ability to interpret geotechnical data and present clear design recommendations Strong report writing and communication skills Working towards or interested in professional chartership (ICE or Geol Soc) Salary & Benefits Competitive salary dependent on experience 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Hybrid working available following probation Structured career progression and chartership support Exposure to complex ground conditions and multi-disciplinary projects Supportive and technically focused team environment Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
