Personal Advisor – Care Experienced Young People

Sandwell Children’s Trust is recruiting for a Personal Advisor within Care Experienced Young People. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to support young people leaving care as they transition into independence. The role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced practitioners who are passionate about delivering high‑quality care and support for young people in the local community.

• Work with young people leaving care to ensure a smooth transition into independence.
• Assist and support young people in preparing for independence and in building skills for independent living.
• Maintain accurate records as required on each young person’s file.
• Collaborate with multi‑disciplined partnerships, including housing, welfare rights and careers guidance, to provide comprehensive support.
• Manage a caseload of young people, ensuring timely and effective intervention.

• NVQ level 3 or above in Social Care, Education, Health, Youth & Community Service or Early Years.
• Experience of working with young people experiencing difficulties within their families.
• Experience of working within multi‑disciplined partnerships (e.g. housing, welfare rights & careers guidance).
• Experience of managing a caseload.
