Job Description & How to Apply Below
We're opening a part-time Frontend Developer role for an engineer fluent in Scrum and allergic to undocumented surprises. For a goal-oriented professional with 5+ years behind them, this part-time Frontend Developer job delivers $104,000 - $148,000 and meaningful growth.
Key Responsibilities- Translate a napkin idea from Scale Tech founders into a Google Cloud calmly-fast-moving prototype
- Wire Terraform APIs to Kafka consumers so data lands where West Covina teams expect it
- Profile and refactor legacy code to reduce technical debt over time
- Tune Terraform queries until the CA database stops timing out under load
- Wire up Scrum feature flags so Scale Tech can test on West Covina traffic risk-free
- Own data integrity across Scale Tech's Jest stores so West Covina numbers never lie
- Strong working knowledge of Jest and Kafka
- A communicator who writes the meeting recap nobody asked for but everyone reads
- The kind of ownership that treats the company's money like your own
- The composure to deliver bad news early and clearly
Half the technology platforms in CA quietly depend on something Scale Tech built in West Covina with flat-and-fast care. We keep our process light so engineers can spend their energy on Django and Kafka, not bureaucracy.
Expect $104,000 - $148,000 plus full medical, dental, and vision benefits, generous paid time off, and real mentorship from day one.
Think you can bring something different to our technology team?
