About the RoleAs Programme Manager for the S2076 software portfolio within the Anti‑Submarine Warfare (ASW) division, you will lead the delivery of advanced sonar software solutions for the Royal Navy and international partners. You will provide strategic oversight across multiple programmes, shaping the vision and ensuring alignment with technology roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver S2076 software capabilities across multiple programmes, maintaining agreed cost, time and performance targets.
- Provide strategic guidance for all campaigns and bids, ensuring full alignment with the S2076 software technology roadmap to maximise business benefit.
- Articulate and execute the vision and strategy for the S2076 software portfolio and future journey toward S2176.
- Champion health, safety and wellbeing of all team members, both direct and matrixed.
- Demonstrable track record delivering software‑focused projects or portfolios in a complex, multi‑site environment.
- Experience leading direct teams (up to 5 people) and matrix teams (up to 50 people), including coaching, performance management and professional development.
- Strong capability in managing customer and supplier relationships within the software delivery context.
- Expertise in structuring, planning and controlling large‑scale software programmes using best practices in programme and project delivery.
- Proven ability to monitor progress against baselines and critical milestones, with a focus on proactive risk mitigation and delivery to agreed quality, timelines and budgets.
- Deep understanding of financial and contractual aspects of software project management.
- Experience coaching junior Project Managers.
This role requires Security Clearance (SC). Ideally you already possess this clearance; if not, you must obtain, achieve and maintain SC prior to beginning employment.
