Catering Assistant – Houghton Hall Garden Centre

We are looking for a full‑time, permanent Catering Assistant to join the team in our restaurant at Houghton Hall Garden Centre.

Competitive pay ranges from £10 to £12.25 per hour, depending on age.

Hours:

35 per week over 5 days, with weekends included. Flexibility is essential.

• Support the kitchen team in preparing fabulous meals to order for our customers.
• Work in all areas of food production with fresh ingredients.
• Prepare hot and cold snacks and deli items to order.
• Carry out food preparation checks in line with food hygiene and safety standards.
• Clean all back‑of‑house and kitchen preparation areas and equipment.
• Close the back‑of‑house area each day to company standards.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
