We are looking for a Full‑time Permanent Second Chef to join the team in our restaurant at High Legh Garden Centre. Competitive salary based on experience. The role is 45 hours over 5 days, includes weekend work but offers no evening shifts or split shifts. The centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

As a Second Chef, you will support the Head Chef in all aspects of food production and kitchen cleaning. You will work as part of a small team, preparing fresh ingredients for our full menu range and ensuring high food hygiene standards.

• Prepare fresh ingredients
• Prepare hot and cold food orders to order
• Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
• Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
• Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
• Close down the kitchen each day, including preparation for the following day
