We are looking for a Senior Account Handler to join our visionary and friendly office. Primarily you are responsible for providing quality service by handling client excellence. You will work collaboratively with the expert Account Executives in the office to achieve common goals. True team cohesion for the ultimate outcome.

• Obtain renewal terms for your customers and explore alternative quotations before producing a final presentation for account managers to discuss with customers.
• Produce market presentations where required and negotiate terms with insurers.
• Check insurer documentation for accuracy and provide it to the customer within specified timescales.
• Assist customers with queries, liaising with insurers regarding potential changes and new terms for policies, ensuring an efficient handling of their needs.
• Ensure all account administration is taken care of – confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies, and chase outstanding documentation when required.
• Secure delivery of policy documentation from insurers and check prior to approval and release by the Account Executive; you are the point of contact for this account.
• Deal with account queries and credit control matters, highlighting any concerns to account managers and applying fundamental legal and regulatory policy in relation to internal policies and the insurance contract.
• Keep track of monthly budget and income numbers.
• Work in conjunction with your account handler – providing guidance and training.
• Assist others within your team as and when required.
• Comply with AJG Professional Standards Manual and statutory requirements, including Managing Client information, Whistle Blowing, and Treating Customers Fairly.

• Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with knowledge of general insurance (London Market/Lloyd’s and Industry) products, services, and a good understanding of underlying legal principles relating to risk.
• Corporate experience is vital, along with motor fleet experience.
• Previous experience in the insurance industry is critical, as is working to targets within a regulated environment.
• Risk aware in handling customer information, with good customer service focus and the ability to identify potential risk/issues and seek advice/consultation when required.
• Due diligence and process driven to deadlines, coupled with strong planning and analytical skills, and high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
