Mechanical Design Engineer

Overview

Our client is an expanding engineering business working on industrial water treatment systems for both pure and wastewater applications across the UK and internationally. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their design team, focusing on producing P&IDs, layouts, and general arrangement drawings, as well as developing 3D design libraries. This is a great opportunity for either an early-career engineer or someone with a couple of years' design experience who is keen to build their expertise in a specialist sector.

• Create detailed and accurate mechanical design drawings to support project delivery.
• Develop and maintain a 3D library of standard plant components.
• Liaise with clients on design details and requirements.
• Carry out quality checks and validation of manufactured designs.

• Proficient in Solidworks.
• Experience with AutoCAD LT or similar recognised drawing software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Degree or qualification in Mechanical or Design Engineering preferred but not essential.
• Suitable for graduates or those with 1-2 years' relevant experience.
