Senior Care Assistant - Residential Care Home (Weston-super-Mare)

Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established residential care home in Weston-super-Mare for an experienced and committed Senior Care Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a senior care professional to take on added responsibility within a supportive team, helping to deliver high standards of care to elderly residents.

• Average 24 hours per week on a weekly rota
• Alternate weekend working required
• Shift patterns: 08:00-14:00 and 14:00-20:00
• On-call responsibilities shared between the senior team

• £14.25 per hour

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the home alongside management
• Leading shifts and supervising care staff
• Administering medication in line with training and policies
• Ensuring high standards of person-centred care at all times
• Acting as a senior point of contact for staff, residents, and families
• Maintaining accurate care documentation and contributing to care planning

• Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader
• Medication trained
• Experience with in elderly residential care
• QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or working towards this qualification
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A compassionate and professional approach to care
