Activities Co-ordinator

About the Role

Part‑time role (22.75 hours) working a 3 on 3 off rotation. In this role you will plan and implement activities that delight residents, organise essential fundraising events, support the Home Manager, and work with the care team to raise residents’ confidence and engagement.

• Develop and run a range of activity programmes that suit the interests and needs of residents.
• Collaborate with the Home Manager to organise fundraising and other community events.
• Encourage social interaction and confidence among residents by tailoring activities to their hobbies and preferences.
• Maintain a kind, caring, and respectful approach towards all residents and colleagues.
• Recognise and report any signs of abuse, harm, or neglect as part of safeguarding duties.
• Attend all safeguarding training and provide advice or escalation when required.

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in activity programme development.
• Strong planning, organisational, IT and time‑management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine consideration and kindness towards residents.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You must be able to identify potential signs of abuse, harm or neglect and know how to respond. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and report concerns appropriately.
