A home, not just a service
Our Wharfedale House service is home to sixteen adults with physical disabilities. Our service feels like family: relaxed, supportive, and centred around the people who live here. Every day brings new moments to celebrate – from small wins in independence to big laughs over mealtimes.
Your working hours- 24 hours per week (2 nights)
- You’ll need to be flexible to work weekends as part of a rota.
- Waking/Night shifts: 8:30 pm – 8:30 am (12‑hour shifts)
- 28 days holiday per annum inclusive of bank holidays (+1 day every year up to 33 days)

- Enhanced pay: £1.00 per hour applies only to night working (8 pm to 7 am) and weekend working (8 pm Friday to 7 am Monday). This does not apply to sleep‑ins.
- Support with daily living tasks such as personal care, mealtimes, and medication
- Encourage independence through a person‑centred approach
- Accompany people to appointments, events, and community activities
- Keep clear, accurate records
- Most importantly, help each person live life on their own terms
- Waking Night Experience (ideally Supporting Those With Physical Disabilities)
- Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Personal Care Experience (helpful, but not essential)
- A genuine desire to help others and make a difference
