Meter Reader

We are looking for Meter Readers across Kingston & Twickenham. This is a fantastic role for someone who is self‑motivated and enjoys working independently outdoors. The role offers the opportunity to acquire a company car.

Your responsibilities include ensuring customers receive accurate and up‑to‑date bills by collecting data from gas, electric and water meters using a hand‑held electronic device. You will plan your route, manage your schedule and workload, and meet weekly targets set by your field delivery manager. The role may also require walking longer distances as not all customers live in built‑up areas, providing great exercise.

Full‑time, flexible basis between 8 am – 8 pm, Monday‑Sunday, working 40 hours per week.

• Approachable, presentable and polite, acting as an ambassador for the company.
• Physically fit due to the nature of the role.
• Ability to plan and manage workload independently while working towards targets.
• Report any dangerous meter installations or suspected tampering.
• Self‑motivated, energetic and enjoying working outdoors.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work to timescales and under pressure.
• Flexible approach to tasks and working.
• Friendly personality with a professional approach to work.
• Pass screening, vetting standards and a DBS check.

Full training is provided, so experience is not necessary.
