Senior Process Engineer - 12 month fixed-term contract

• Senior Process Engineer within the OH Platform team (Haleon QSC).
• Support the development, optimization and technical life cycle management of leading global Power Brands in the Oral Health category.
• Work within the Supply Chain OH Technical group with exposure to solid, semi-solid and liquid dose forms; collaborate with marketers, research scientists/engineers in new product development; lead manufacturing sites; travel to European and Global sites as required.
• Lead complex process development, scale up and technical transfers supporting future manufacturing strategy and maintenance projects; liaise with R&D and QSC; act as technical lead for complex RM changes within derisking or CoGs reduction programmes; provide site manufacturing support for process improvement initiatives.
• Establish as the first point of contact and expert for OH technical product robustness reviews to ensure right-first-time commercialization at sites; support GPOs for continuous improvement, BARs and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with scientists, Global Product Owners and Technical Leads to build capability within the wider team and mentor more junior engineers.

• The role supports the Oral Health Technical team and Power Brands.
• Opportunity to lead technical change controls, tech transfers or process continuous improvements; engage in Innovation and Maintenance strategies for OH brands with Quality, R&D and manufacturing site teams throughout technical changes to maintain robust commercial scale manufacturing processes.
• May support de-risking, scale up, cost saving and strategic growth projects; participate in global complex projects and partner with Procurement, external vendors, CMOs, Haleon manufacturing sites, R&D engineers/scientists, Category and Quality.

• Provide technical support to Haleon and CMO supply sites to solve complex technical issues and promote site technical independence.
• Participate in governance forums such as Product Technical Review Teams (PTRT) and Technical Review Board (TRB) as SME.
• Support technical transfers for raw material/product/process changes to other sites.
• Lead or participate in Technical Risk Assessments (TRA, MRA) and Product Strategy Control (PCS) related to investigations or changes.
• Manage, analyse and identify trends in data as part of Continued Process Verification (CPV) to drive continuous improvement.
• Support site Root Cause Analysis investigations as part of deviation management (manufacturing issues, product release performance and/or customer complaints).
• Collaborate with Material Science and procurement to interpret data for new alternative raw material suppliers.
• Create, review and approve documents including MMI, Change Controls, Technical Rationales, Evaluation Protocols/Reports, Investigation Reports.
• Provide technical support and review of Regulatory Documents.
• Build team capability for Tech Transfers and oversee end-to-end rollout plans.

• BSc / BEng or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Science / Process or Manufacturing Engineering / Chemical Engineering or equivalent industrial experience; plus:
• Knowledge/Experience with semi-solids and liquid formulations.
• Knowledge of statistical principles used in process capability assessments.
• Knowledge/experience of manufacturing processes and equipment for semi-solid and liquid formulations.
• Knowledge of scientific methods, DoE, QbD and DtV.
