DescriptionWe are recruiting a temporary Support Workers in Whitehaven.
You will be required to work with a lovely and friendly gentleman with an acquired brain injury as part of an established team. Our client has a keen interest in all sport, but particularly football and rugby, and occasionally enjoys getting to view these matches locally.
This post would ideally suit someone who enjoys listening to a wide genre of music and participating in general knowledge quizzes. You will support our client with his mobility and day-to-day living, encouraging him to access the community and social activities. You will work in our client’s own home and out in the community, including frequent trips to coffee shops and catching up on the craic.
This is a temporary role to cover sick leave and the length of service will be discussed at interview.
The salary for this role is £12.85 per hour, depending on experience.
DutiesDuties will include supporting our client with prompts around personal care, social and leisure activities, administration of medication and following therapy programs set by physiotherapists.
Key skills, knowledge and experience- You should have previous experience of working in the Health Sector.
- UK Driving licence and familiarity with driving a Wheelchair accessible vehicle WAV).
- You should be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course)
