Band 5 Staff nurse, 24 hours per week, Coronary Care Unit, West Cumberland Hospital. Fixed term for 9 months maternity leave cover.
We are seeking a motivated registered Nurse to join our team.
We are an 8‑bedded unit offering experience in Cardiology. We also run the acute NIV service for the trust.
We’re looking for someone who is highly committed to best practice, can work in a team environment, and has outstanding communication skills.

Main duties of the jobAssess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care, providing the prescribed nursing care without supervision. Contribute to the development and evaluation of nursing practice in the unit.
Support patients and their families during diagnosis and treatment.
Liaise with other departments both at WCH and CIC to ensure the safe transfer of patients.
The Trust will provide a twelve‑month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.
Healthcare professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.
