Fraser Health Authority is urgently seeking a new Respirologist to replace a retiring doctor. The position involves a mix of hospital inpatient consultations, Level 3 pulmonary function diagnostics, and an fully functional office practice.

• Level 3 pulmonary function lab
• 8 ICU/CCU beds cared by Internal Medicine
• Fully operational solo‑practice outpatient respirology clinic for independent practitioner
• Office space available with reasonable rent in a mixed complex
• Free parking for staff and patients, less than 10‑minute drive to the hospital
• Thoracic surgery at Surrey Memorial Hospital with 5 busy thoracic surgeons
• BC Cancer Agency site, Fraser Valley Cancer Centre, adjacent to Surrey Memorial Hospital

• Provide respiratory consultation to the hospital for in- and outpatients
• No official on‑call requirement, no general internal medicine call
• Take consults from hospitalist and internists (approximately 1–5 per week) for inpatients during weekdays 9 AM‑5 PM, excluding holidays
• Handle outpatient referrals from ER and community

• Fellowship in Respirology with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada
• Eligible for Independent license by the College of Physicians & Surgeons of BC (CPSBC)
• Canadian permanent residency or citizenship
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with a dedication to service excellence

• Fee for service for clinical work and diagnostics
• Sessional TB clinic work available at the New Westminster TB clinic (Division of TB Control, BCCDC)
• Option to apply for a clinical position with the UBC Department of Medicine
