• Greet patients, request required information, explain specimen collection, and ensure compliance with test protocols.
• Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect Holter monitors, conduct 24‑hour blood pressure monitoring, and record ECG tracings.
• Collect special tests (medical/legal drug screens, paternity tests, clinical trials) and complete related documentation.
• Maintain client relationships by responding to inquiries and following up on requests.
• Enter patient demographics and requisition information into the data system.
• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing.

• Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent healthcare experience (e.g., nurses, infusion therapists, cardiac technologists).
• ECG training or experience is an asset.
• Proficient data entry skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain strict patient privacy and confidentiality standards.
• Effectively relate to patients and health care providers.
