Leonardo’s four‑year Sales and Marketing Business Apprenticeship / Business scheme provides a variety of experiences through placements in business‑related disciplines, working on real projects alongside specialists in the world of business. You will rotate around various hiring functions, gaining experience of the different teams and work/projects specific to your department in Basildon.

This vacancy offers positions in our Sales and Marketing team.

During each placement you will work within cutting‑edge facilities, learning how the various business areas operate and collaborate together to support Sales and Business Winning, discovering how opportunities are identified, bids are managed and delivered, and having opportunities to liaise with customers and key stakeholders. You will rotate through several business areas and functions to gain further insight and experience of collaboration across the business in support of Sales and Business Winning, including Project Management, Finance, Commercial, Procurement, Trade Compliance and Project Planning.

There may also be opportunities for travel.

The final position will be in Sales and Marketing.

We need people who not only understand the importance of fulfilling the needs of our customers and company business objectives, but who are also ready to embrace an ethos of continuous improvement and personal development through committing to a structured 4‑year learning programme. At the end of the programme, you will emerge as a highly qualified member of our Sales and Business Winning department, equipped to contribute actively to the success of a variety of world‑leading projects.

During your apprenticeship, you will study with Anglian Ruskin University to complete a Chartered Manager Business Degree Apprenticeship. You will achieve this qualification through a combination of attendance at the university and day release plus experience in the workplace.

Through a series of rotational placements across a range of internal departments, you will gather real work evidence such as reflective accounts which describe day‑to‑day tasks you have completed and highlight the key business competencies demonstrated. You will gather this evidence, which demonstrates your development into a well‑rounded business person through on‑the‑job training, gaining the essential practical skills needed to succeed.

Following completion of a number of placements, you will enter a final placement in Sales or Business Winning focussing on one particular discipline. This targeted learning allows you to build on your skills and knowledge and to develop into a valuable member of the department, and will provide you with the final pieces of evidence required to move into the assessment phase and complete your Apprenticeship.

• Evidence of at least 80 UCAS Tariff points at Level 3 e.g. A Levels, BTEC (or equivalent)
• A completed Skills Scan and Initial Assessment discussion
• Evidence of Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English, e.g. GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, Functional Skills or ESFA‑approved equivalent
