Civils Supervisor role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services
Join our team as a Civils Supervisor to manage site-level contracts and lead operations ensuring compliance and quality.
Essential Competencies- Supervise site-level contracts
- Hold relevant FISS/CSCS certificates.
- Possess CITB SMSTS certification
- Good working knowledge of fence types, electrical fencing systems and access control systems
- Working knowledge of gate automation
- Knowledge of fabrication related to fences and gates
- Experience in man-management skills
- Good working knowledge of sub-contracting procedures and practices
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Assist with installations as instructed by Contracts Director/Manager
- Supervise contracts at site level and provide management support
- Client contact for contract direction
- Site set-up
- Liaison with site staff
- Prepare Method Statements
- Prepare Risk Assessments
- Ensure Site Health & Safety compliance
- Ensure quality control and test inspection documents are completed as per planned timescales
- Promote material sustainability initiatives
- Ensure contractors' operatives are competent, qualified and licensed; plant and equipment are tested, maintained and certified as specified
- Ensure services and equipment installed comply with contract documentation
- Record and report defective materials and substandard quality/workmanship standards
- Assess need for additional staff and resources
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks and devise contingency plans
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
