Supplier Management Team Lead – Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services
Mitie are seeking a Supplier Management Team Leader to join our Procurement Centre of Excellence. You'll be the key driver of the supplier management strategy, driving continuous improvement across processes, tools, and engagement models to ensure alignment with business and customer objectives.
You'll work closely with stakeholders and suppliers to embed best practices, optimise supplier lifecycle and contract management, and track performance against strategic goals. Leading a team of Supplier Management professionals, you'll also contribute to specialist projects and shape the future direction of supplier management within Mitie.
LocationBirmingham, Bristol or London – Full‑time
Responsibilities- Oversee the Supplier Management Programme and Framework, ensuring robust governance and performance tracking.
- Provide training, tools, and guidance to internal teams to support consistent supplier engagement.
- Manage supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Undertake SMP audits.
- Drive the use of AI tools within the Procurement function.
- Line‑manage a small team.
- Experience with SAP, Coupa, and reporting tools (highly desirable).
- Facilities Management background ideal but not essential.
- Strong interest in AI and automation within the workplace.
- Deep expertise in supplier management and a track record of managing complex contracts.
- Forward‑thinking leadership, stakeholder engagement and change‑management skills.
- Proactive and solutions‑focused mindset.
