Halton is currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Duty and Assessment Team within Halton Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, supportive team environment where your skills and experience will make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

Halton, a council‑owned company dedicated to recruiting our flexible workforce (temporary and casual workers). We are a 50/50 publicly‑owned joint venture between Halton Borough Council and Commercial Services Group, a company wholly owned by Kent County Council.

• Undertake assessments of children in need and those at risk of harm.
• Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and professionals to ensure the safety and well‑being of children.
• Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
• Prepare clear and concise reports for a variety of audiences including court.

• Social Work England registration.
• Experience with in Duty and Assessment or similar.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage caseloads.
• Assessment and analytical skills.
• 3 years perm experience.
