The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to play a pivotal role in bridging design and manufacturing. Working at the cutting edge of mechanical and electrical engineering, you’ll help turn innovative designs into high-quality products that perform in the most demanding environments.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving problems, improving processes, and ensuring seamless New Product Introduction (NPI). You’ll have direct influence on efficiency, quality, and manufacturability, while supporting teams across engineering and production.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Supporting the manufacture of complex mechanical and electrical assemblies.

* Acting as the technical link between design engineering and production.

* Developing and maintaining work instructions, process documentation, and quality controls.

* Driving New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure designs are production-ready and cost effective.

* Identifying and delivering process improvements to boost quality, efficiency, and throughput.

* Troubleshooting and resolving production issues in real time.

* Designing or specifying tooling, jigs, fixtures, and test equipment.

* Providing training and technical support to production staff.

* Championing safe working practices and overseeing quality engineering within production.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

* At least 5 years’ experience as a Production Engineer in a mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment.

* Hands-on experience across both engineering and production support.

* Strong understanding of manufacturing methods, assembly, and integration of mechanical/electrical systems.

* Excellent documentation and quality support skills.

Desirable:

* Experience with system or product testing.

* Familiarity with defence or highly regulated industry standards.

About You

* Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* High attention to detail with a focus on quality.

* Clear communicator who works well across teams.

* Proactive, organised, and adaptable to shifting priorities.

Why Apply?

This is a chance to join a specialist engineering environment where your expertise will directly shape the performance, reliability, and safety of mission-critical systems. You’ll have autonomy, technical variety, and the opportunity to see your work have a tangible impact from design through to deployment
