About the Contractor
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading UK main contractor specialising in the delivery of complex, high-value industrial and commercial projects. The company is renowned for delivering schemes safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards, working closely with clients, consultants, and a trusted supply chain.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a £10M industrial new build scheme in Swindon, scheduled to start in February 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring successful delivery within budget, programme, and quality targets.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team, coordinate subcontractors, manage client expectations, and ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the project team to ensure successful delivery of the £10M industrial new build project
* Manage project planning, programmes, budgets, and resource allocation
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to maintain progress and quality
* Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Monitor health & safety compliance and environmental performance
* Oversee procurement, contract administration, and reporting
* Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues promptly
* Prepare regular project reports and attend site and client meetings
Required Experience & Skills
* Proven experience as a Project Manager on industrial, commercial, or similar construction projects
* Experience managing projects of £5M+ preferably up to £10M
* Strong understanding of construction programmes, cost management, and contract administration
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple work streams and subcontractors effectively
* Knowledge of health & safety and environmental regulations on industrial sites
Qualifications
* Relevant construction or project management qualification (e.g., HNC/HND, BSc, or equivalent)
* PRINCE2, RICS, or CIOB membership/qualification preferred
* CSCS Card (essential)
