Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Wimborne, Dorset. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of metal parts, primarily using laser‑cut profiles. Salary : £17.00 per hour

Hours : Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm (earlier finish of 4pm Friday)

As a Welder / Fabricator your key responsibilities will include :

• Welding:
  Performing TIG, MIG, and MMA welding on various materials, including steel and aluminum.
• Fabrication:
  Assembling and finishing metal parts, working with laser‑cut profiles.
• Preparation:
  Preparing components for welding and assembly.
• Quality Control:
  Ensuring welds and fabricated parts meet specified standards.
• Safety Compliance:
  Adhering to strict safety regulations and using appropriate personal protective equipment.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications :

• Proven experience in welding techniques, particularly TIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with different welding processes and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.

• Experience in sheet metal work is advantageous.
• Background in marine welding or other specialized areas is a plus.

Your daily tasks will involve :

• Preparing materials and components for welding and assembly.
• Utilizing TIG, MIG, and MMA welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal parts.
• Inspecting and ensuring the quality of welds and finished products.
• Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines.
