Join Hampshire Engineering Services as a Technician Degree Apprentice and play a key role in delivering essential infrastructure projects across highways, structures and water. Earn a degree while building a career in civil engineering.
What you’ll do- Design – Identify and propose solutions, prepare technical reports and produce designs using AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Info Drainage.
- Implementation – Prepare contract documents and ensure construction works are programme and within budget.
- Project Management – Support activity programming, monitor and control progress to achieve completion on programme.
- Financial Control – Prepare estimates, monitor and review project costs, including works and fees of internal and external consultants, to ensure completion within agreed budgets.
- Communication – Liaise with project client, project team, internal/external consultants, contractors and the public, face‑to‑face, by telephone and email. Prepare reports as required.
- Training – Maintain and update personal technical expertise, assist with training and development of other Technicians.
Apprenticeship Information: Over five years you’ll complete a Level 6 Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship at the University of Portsmouth, including an end‑point assessment by the ICE, leading to Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.
