Key Responsibilities
  • Lead HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, and domestic water system design from feasibility through to construction
  • Use TAS for dynamic thermal modelling and AutoCAD/Revit for detailed 2D/3D coordinated outputs
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring integrated low-carbon and energy-efficient solutions
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers while contributing to internal QA reviews
  • Provide specialist input into pre-planning energy/sustainability reports and PartL/F compliance assessments
  • Visit sites to verify installation accuracy and support technical coordination
  • Engage with clients and contractors throughout delivery and oversee value-engineering initiatives
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent)
  • Chartered status (CEng, IMechE/CIBSE) or actively working towards it
  • 6+ years’ experience designing mechanical building services in consultancy
  • Proficiency in mechanical design software including TAS, AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Hevacomp
  • Strong understanding of UK regulations (PartL & PartF, CIBSE guidelines) and sustainable engineering practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management abilities
  • A proactive, structured mindset capable of delivering complex projects to high quality and budget standards
Why This Role Is Special
  • Join a consultancy known for delivering sustainable, user-focused environments
  • Variety of projects—ranging from healthcare and urban extensions to corporate and residential developments
  • Operate within a proactive, structured team environment that values open communication and innovation
  • Benefit from hybrid working, healthcare plans, CPD-led training days, and social team events
