Position: Senior Private Client Tax Manager (Permanent)
We are seeking a Senior Private Client Manager to join a growing and well-regarded tax team in Winchester. This is a key role offering the opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio, deliver high-quality tax services, and contribute to business development in a supportive, people-focused environment. Hybrid and flexible working options are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a large portfolio of private client tax clients, ensuring compliance with HMRC and internal deadlines.

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and companies.

• Provide technical and commercial advice to clients, building long-term relationships.

• Lead client meetings, business development activities, and networking initiatives.

• Handle HMRC enquiries and liaise with colleagues across teams to identify cross-selling opportunities.

• Manage billing, WIP, and project budgets for your portfolio.

• Contribute to process improvements and ensure high-quality delivery across assignments.
Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 3 years post-qualified UK tax practice experience (medium or mid-tier firm).

• ACA, ACCA, and/or CTA qualified.

• Strong experience in private client tax; experience with trusts or agricultural/rural businesses advantageous.

• Self-starter with excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and commercial awareness.

• Confident communicator with a professional, tactful, and discreet approach.

• Strong IT skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
